Dean is a fifty-year-old from Columbus, Ohio who has been in prison since he was twenty years old. From the moment he watched a friend turn a drawing of a diamond shape into a shark (Jaws was a popular movie at the time) he knew that he wanted to make pictures. Growing up with sk8-board and heavy metal culture exposed him to what he thought was some wicked imagery. Now, he still loves making art in all sorts of media and trying to share something that looks cool but also might evoke a feeling. His influences include MC Escher, HR Giger, DaVinci, and Stan Lee. His inspiration comes from his faith, and his love as well as experiences both good and bad.
