Who we are

The Returning Artists Guild, referred to here as the RAG, is [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], an Ohio nonprofit corporation based in Columbus, Ohio. We are an abolitionist guild of directly impacted artists working across Ohio and beyond. You can reach by emailing contact@ragarts.org.

Using this site

You're welcome here. Read, share, learn, and get in touch.

Please don't use the site to break the law, harass anyone, misrepresent yourself as speaking for the RAG, scrape or copy the site wholesale, or interfere with how the site works for other people.

Artists keep the rights to their work

When an artist's work appears on this site, that artist holds the copyright to it. The RAG displays the work with permission. Nothing on this site transfers ownership of any artist's work to the RAG or to you.

Everything else on the site, including our written content, exhibition descriptions, program photographs, name, and logo, belongs to the RAG or to the people who created it for us.

You may link to our pages freely, and you may quote short passages of our writing with credit to the RAG.

For anything beyond that, write to us first at contact@ragarts.org. That includes reproducing an image of an artist's work, republishing an article in full, using our name or logo, and printing our material for distribution. For artwork specifically, we will put you in touch with the artist. We do not grant permission on an artist's behalf.

Messages, applications, and submissions

If you send us a message, a proposal, an artist application, or an image, you are confirming that it's yours to send and that you have the right to share it with us.

We read what comes in and share it internally with the people who need to see it. We won't publish your message, your name, or your images without asking you first.

Artist membership applications are collected through a Google Form. Google's own terms and privacy practices apply to that form in addition to ours.

Donations

Donations to the RAG are processed by Square. Square handles your payment information directly. We never see or store your card number.

The RAG is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 99-4150675. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you will receive a receipt by email.

Donations are generally not refundable. If you gave by mistake, gave the wrong amount, or something went wrong, write to us at contact@ragarts.org within 30 days and we will make it right.

Links to other sites

We link to exhibition venues, partner organizations, news coverage, reentry and community resources, our COMPANY donation page, our Instagram, and our Amazon wish list. We don't control those sites and we're not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your information. When you follow a link, that site's terms and privacy policy apply.

Accuracy

We work to keep the site current, but exhibition dates move, venues change, and resource listings go out of date. Confirm details with us or with the venue before you make plans.

Information on this site about reentry, records, housing, employment, or legal processes is shared for general reference. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for talking to a lawyer or a caseworker about your own situation.

Disclaimer and limits

The site is provided as it is. We don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or free of anything harmful.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the RAG and its board, staff, members, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

You agree to cover the RAG's costs if a claim is brought against us because of content you sent us or because you used the site in a way these terms don't allow.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio.
