Exploring survival, identity, injustice, and transformation, her layered compositions invite viewers to look beyond the surface while encouraging dialogue and positive social change. I create figurative images coupled with symbols and words to spin stories of real-life anguish and documented moments. The concept of each story is woven through every brushstroke, invoking emotion through the vulnerability of the subject's pose and pushing, almost screaming, for insight through the flow of the composition.Symbolism is hidden beneath layers of imagery and text, inviting viewers to look more closely. I hope to use my art as a catalyst to spark conversation that inspires awareness, positive energy, and ultimately positive change.
