Bridging the Distance image from RAG

Bridging the Distance was a public art exhibition presented by the Ohio Prison Arts Connection (OPAC) and the Returning Artists Guild in partnership with the Carnegie Gallery at the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Main Library. On view from November 4, 2021, through January 14, 2022, the exhibition featured works created by incarcerated artists.

Inspired by the resourcefulness of incarcerated artists navigating the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bridging the Distance explored physical and emotional separation, barriers, and human connection through visual art and poetry. The exhibition received project support from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.

This is a RAG-hosted event.
