Mansfield News Journal explores the Returning Artists Guild’s Blood, Sweat, and Tears Too, an exhibition at Ohio State Mansfield centering the work and experiences of artists impacted by incarceration.
The Mansfield News Journal highlights the Returning Artists Guild’s Blood, Sweat, and Tears Too, presented at Ohio State Mansfield.
The exhibition brings together work by RAG artists to examine incarceration, reentry and the experiences that continue long after someone comes home. Through art and storytelling, Blood, Sweat, and Tears Too creates space for people directly impacted by the carceral system to tell their own stories—and for audiences to encounter those experiences through the artists themselves.
The exhibition is part of the RAG’s broader work to support currently and formerly incarcerated artists while using art to expand public understanding of incarceration and reentry.
