Cincinnati’s Local 12 News covered Through the Wire, a collaborative exhibition featuring work by currently and formerly incarcerated artists at the Strauss Gallery at Artspace in Hamilton, Ohio.
The story highlights participating artist Jamie Fisher, who discusses discovering art while incarcerated and using it to cope, express herself and navigate re-entry. The exhibition brought together hundreds of works by currently and formerly incarcerated artists, with proceeds supporting The Fringe Coffee House and the Ohio Innocence Project.
