The Fitton Center for Creative Arts introduces Home Free: Ohio Artists Envision Prison Abolition, the touring exhibition co-curated by Dr. Nicole R. Fleetwood and the RAG co-founders Aimee Wissman and Kamisha Thomas.
In its story about the exhibition’s Hamilton debut, the Fitton Center explores the ideas behind Home Free and its presentation of work by currently and formerly incarcerated Ohio artists. Fleetwood discusses the impact of mass incarceration on communities, the RAG’s work supporting artists impacted by incarceration, and the exhibition’s goal of challenging audiences to think critically about incarceration while recognizing the value and contributions of the artists themselves.
